About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Separately booked inwards and outwards tickets.

I am planning on buying a single trip flight ticket from Hong Kong to Beijing and then separately buying a flight ticket (which leaves within 72 hours) from Beijing to Europe. Would I still be eligible for the 72h visa exemption even though the flight tickets in and out are not in the same itinerary, but booked separately.

JJ, don’t worry, it’s okay. Even you hold separate confirmed air tickets, you can still enjoy the 72 hour free transit.
