Extension of residence permit

Hi! I have the following question: is it possible to extend the residence permit in China without actually going out of PRC? My visa is Z type for one year. Thank you :)

Anna, you can extend it without leaving PRC. But please note that the validity of the new residence permit is up to the time limit of your labor contract.
