can i get temporary residence permit with x2 visa?

Hello, I have enrolled at part time Chinese course at private mandarin school in Shanghai which helped me to attain 180days X2 type. However it is only single entry type, hence was wondering is it possible switch it to temporary residence permit taking into account this is a private mandarin school and not public educational institution?

Albinas, you cannot get a temporary residence permit with X2 type. If you exit from PRC, the X2 type will expire. When you re-enter, you need to re-apply for a new X2 type.
