You can only make a tight connection like this if you have ONLY hand baggage. I believe the ferry operators mandate a 90 minute window if you are arriving internationally with checked bags because you give them your bag check ticket and they pull your bags after all the luggage is delivered and transfer to the ferry. Its always a problem for me arriving on UA flights from any of the 3 hubs (SFO,EWR,ORD) with arrive between 7 and 9pm (depending on route and time of year) Plus you need to go to the Ferry Ticket desk which is airside just before the immigration desks and if you arrive at a far gate, it can take time to get there. I'd say the chances of you making this connection are slim. Unfortunately once you leave "airside" at HKG (i.e. you go into HK and pass customs) you cannot go back to take a ferry so you have to go to HK or Kowloon to connect to a ferry. Its a pain......
Good Luck
