About:Visa Policy of China

Visa on Arrival while holidaying

I am a Malaysian and visiting Hong Kong as a tourist. If I wish to visit Guangzhou for 2 nights and entering via train from Hong Kong, can I apply for entry permit on Arrival?

Jack, I’m afraid you cannot apply for a VOA in Guangzhou. You should apply for a relevant entry permit beforehand.
Or you can go to Shenzhen from HK and apply for a VOA in Shenzhen. The office is open all year. After you get the VOA, you can use it to travel to Guangzhou. According to the relevant regulations, it’s forbidden, but someone has done that before.
