Allowed to leave airport in Shenzhen?

I'm staying in the city 1 week, then i plan to go to HK for a few days. I want to go to Hong Kong by ferry to enjoy the view. I was planning to take She Kou Ferry to Hong Kong international airport. If i do that i will be allowed to leave airport? first question on this page got me worried. Thank you for your help!
