How much is the fee for renewal of student visas and penalties if any?

Raquel, do you hold the X1 or X2? If it's the X2, you only need to pay for CNY 168. If it's the X1, you may need to pay for CNY 400. I'm confused by the "penalties", who will charge this and why? In normal cases, you don't need to pay for it.
