About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Is the 144-hour Visa-free transit to Shanghai in effect already, if not when?

We'll be arriving to Shanghai on 08Mar16 at 09:45AM and leave on a cruise to Japan on 12Mar16 at 17:00PM. Then arrive back to Shanghai on 20Mar16 at 06:00AM and fly out of China same day.
Can we benefit from the 144-hour free transit?

Hi Kiril, the 144-hour free transit has not been put into effect currently, but it's going to be implemented soon. The specific time is not published yet. You can wait patiently and do not do the entry permit application in haste.
