About:Visa Policy of China

hell i am right now on a L visa and it will expire on feburary 18.

but i want to stay for 1 more month. i had already registered my address in local police station of chongqing. can anybody tell me the process of how to extend the L type, right now i am lanzhou if possible please let me know the address and telephone number of the acting governmnet unit in this area

If you have the temporary accommodation registration in Chongqing, I think you should go back and do the extension at local entry and exit management bureau. It's located at No.555, Huanglong Road.

If you can't get back in time, I think you'd better visit Lanzhou Entry and Exit Management Bureau and ask if you can do the extension there. It's located on the fourth floor of Min'an Mansion near Nanguan Crossing.

The requirements are almost the same. You should submit your passport, filled application form, passport photo, travel itinerary and return air ticket. Perhaps, they might require your Chinese bank account that has at least CNY 21000 inside.
