Connecting flights at PEK with different airlines

I am flying HKG to PEK by Air China to connect Air Canada to Vancouver. Do I need to collect my checked in luggage and check in with Air Canada for boarding pass at PEK?

You belongs to I to I transfer in T3. It's not necessary for you to reclaim the luggage. In addition, the transfer procedures are the following:
Flight Arrival - Transfer Procedures - Get Stamped on Boarding Pass at Inspection Customs - Security Check - Custom Inspection - Waiting & Boarding.

Thank you. Since Where will I get the Air Canada boarding pass? I will check with at the Air China counter in HKG. Will Air China counter issue the boarding pass for the Air Canada flight too?

Air China counter will not issue the boarding pass for Air Canada Flights. Upon landing at PEK, you can get your boarding pass at B Check-in Zone when getting through the transfer procedures. :)

Thanks. Is B Check-in Zone for transit only check-in and accessible once you deplane? I have 2 hours stopover and reading from the numerous posts here, there seem to be many lineups for many checks just to get from to the connect flight departing lounge.

I'm afraid the B Check-in Zone is not for transit only. Yes, you are right, you may need to wait in queues for the procedures. But don't worry. Generally speaking, 2 hours are enough for I-I transfer. Just hurry up and don't waste the time.
