From Hong Kong to Guangzhou by train without visa

Hello, I'm going to be in Hong Kong but my flight leaves from Guangzhou to Paris, I was wondering if I could go from hong kong to Guangzhou by train, from the moment I arrive at the station at Guangzhou to the moment My flight will depart from the airport there will be more or less 3 to 4 hours. Am I eligible to pass by without an entry permit? Or should I take a flight from hong kong to guangzhou?
