About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I have a British passport. Can I apply for a tourist Chinese visa when I am in Singapore?

Dear, if you don't have a residence permit or work permit in Singapore, I'm afraid it's difficult to apply from there.

Thanks Andrew. Do you know if it's any easier to apply for a Chinese tourist L type entry permit from Vietnam? I need to apply 3 months prior to visiting but I won't be in the UK at this time.

Lisa, as far as I see, if you are in Singapore at the time when you plan to submit the application, you can first try to apply from Singapore. If you fail to do that, you can apply from nearby countries. It's posible to do so. Vietnam is not a bad choice.
