About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Airline Employee Travel

If I arrive on a flight from Finland, then depart 9 hours later on a flight to the USA but my flight from PVG-USA is standby as an airline employee, can I still enjoy the free Visa entry to check out Shanghai? I would be able to show a confirmation number and ticket number for PVG-USA just wont have a confirmed seat yet because I am an airline employee on standby.

Thanks,

Dear, according to the relevant regulations, the onward flight ticket with a confirmed seat is required. So I’m afraid you cannot enjoy the free transit. But you are one of the crew members, it’s easy for you to apply for a C type entry permit. You need to provide those documents including your passport and its copy, the application form with a recent full-faced color photo glued as well as a guarantee letter issued by the airline.
