About:Hong Kong Octopus Card

Family Trip to HK concerning transportation card

Hi dear,

I would like to know if I got number of 3adult and 1child. We will be staying in HK from 08/01/2016-13/01/2016. Total 6days. I should get the standard one or with express airport pass?

By using express airport pass you mean we can travel unlimited trains after that?

First of all, one Octopus Card can only be used by one person.
1. For adult, you are suggested to buy Airport Express Travel Pass. It contains one or two Airport Express single journey(s) plus 3 consecutive days of unlimited travel on MTR (except Airport Express, East Rail Line First Class, Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau stations). The price is HK$220 and HK$300. After three days, you can recharge money on the card. Then it can be used as the Standard Octopus Card.

2. For child, he or she can enjoy the free ticket if under three years old.
If not, you are suggested to buy the Standard Octopus Card. The deposit is 50 HKD and the initial stored value is 20 HKD.
