Exchange money at beijing airport

I arrive at midnight. What are the hours for the banks in the airport for currency exchange? Is there a bank for exchanging money at the arrival gate area?

According to your arrival time, the bank counters will be closed at that time. But don't worry. You can use the auto machines to exchange some money, which are in service for 24h.

There are several Money Exchange counters located at the arrival hall.
T2: Public area on the first floor
International Arrival Luggage Hall
Restricted Area on the second floor
T3: East/West exit of International Luggage Claim Hall
International Arrival Hall’s Public Area

Do you mean the auto machine will take USD note and change it to CYN? Do I need any type of card or pin number to use it?

Yes, you are correct. No card or pin number is required. You just need to provide your passport. Then, follow the guidances, and you can easily convert USD note into CNY. :)
