Applying visa for multiple people

Hi, going to China with family. We have four of us including one kid. want to ask is it possible that one person go to immigration office to apply entry permit for all? Or each one of us have to go personally?besides, for the kid's entry permit, immediate parents have to go to apply for her? or we can just bring her passport?

Yap, generally speaking, it’s possible that one person can submit the applications for others. However, if the applicant is required to accept a face-to-face interview, he/she needs to go there in person.
As for the kid’s application, it doesn't have to be immediate parents to apply for her as long as her parents or custodian sign on the application form, others can submit it for her.
