what type of visa will i need to marry in china

Hello I. Have  a girlfreind in PRC and we plan to get married in her city in PRC and she wants Me to stay in her house rather than booking a hotel but I don't understand the visa rules for this to be able to take place as I was told before that I would only need a tourist L type but I have read that my lady would have to send me an invataton letter is this true?

Nicholas, you can marry in PRC as long as you have valid legal stay status in PRC. So you can just apply for a tourist L type.   It’s true that if your girlfriend can issue you an invitation letter, you don’t need to book a hotel.
