About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Change X2 to Z type

Hello, thanks for all the information. We are a couple studying in china about 4 month, we get the X2 visa, but we decide to open a WOFE in shenzhen, and now we want to change our x2 type for a Z type, i will be the legal representative and i want my girlfriend to be the secretary of this company very small at first.
but the problem is that two first requirements to get the Z type is from people that we dont know in PRC
1) Foreigners Employment Permit of the People's Republic of China issued by Chinese government authorities for Human Resources and Social Security, as well as Invitation Letter of Duly Authorized Entity or Confirmation Letter of Invitation issued by relevant Chinese entities.
2) Permit for Foreign Experts Working in PRC issued by the State Bureau of Foreign Experts as well as Invitation Letter of Duly Authorized Entity or Confirmation Letter of Invitation issued by relevant Chinese entities.

this is complete to get? is difficult to change from x2 to Z and then to resident and then the working permit?

regards and thanks for your blog again

Sebastian, if you want to apply for Z type, you need to find a company to employ you first. And then the employer will get the work permit and an invitation letter issued by duly authorized unit for you. With the two documents and other required materials, you can apply for work Z type.
Considering your situation, you want to set up your own business in PRC. In this case, you should change your X type to business M type.

Dear, if so, you don't need the foreign expert certificate and you just need to apply for an employment permit at the local labor bureau and a letter from duly authorized unit from the Foreign Affairs Office in Shenzhen. You can do it on your own. The primary thing is to register your company first. It is not that easy, but it's possible.
