Re-enter china without going to hongkong

I have a dual entry visa with each stay of 30 days. It will be expired on 18th Dec 2015 but I need to stay more, so I have to use my second entry. Currently I am in Shenzhen, so is it mandatory to go inside the Hongkong city (after getting Hongkong entry permit, which is got on arrival) to get the second entry approved or I can just go to the Hong Kong airport and come back?

Rahul, you can just go to HK airport and come back as long as you get an exit record on your passport. By the way, you can go to the PSB in Shenzhen and see if you can extend your stay duration to save your trip to Hong Kong.
