X2 extension

Hey,

I want to stay in china for one month after my studies in the summer. My X2 visa is only good for the beginning of August, but I would wish to stay till the beginning of September.

Is this kind of extension possible? I already asked while I was applying, whether or not I could stay after my studies, but the answer was that I was allowed to be for 6 months total.
