Glenda, you fly from Bangkok to Guangzhou and then directly get back? If so, this is a round trip rather than transit and not eligible for the 72hr free transit policy. If you want to make use of this policy, you can fly from Bangkok to Guangzhou and then back via Hong Kong, so that the route is eligible.
