Hi I'm travelling to beijing from heathrow on 22 march and leaving bejiing to fly to new zealand on the 26th of march. I will be returning home (UK) from auckland via guangzhou in china where i will be staying for another 2 nights in Guangdong. Will i still require a VISA?

Dear, as for your first transit in Beijing, I’m afraid you cannot use the 72 hour free transit. You should apply for a transit G type or tourist L type in advance. But you just exceed 2 hours, it may be okay. You'd better contact Beijing Airport Immigration Inspection and confirm. Here is the telephone number: 0086-10-56095400.When you return and transit in Guangzhou, you are eligible for the 72 hour policy. Have a good trip!
