About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am Canadian citizen. Do I need a visa ? And where can I get it.

I will be arriving to Shanghai 4.30 pm from Canada , nest flight to India is next day 2.10 pm. I would like to check in to a nearest hotel close to the airport while on transit. Thanks

Shela, you needn't apply in advance. When you get there, you can apply for 72 hours free transit at the immigration. Then you can exit the airport to stay in a hotel.
