About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I get the 72 hour transit with my flights?

Hi there,
I'm a NZ passport holder but currently living in Japan.
I plan to book flights from Osaka - Beijing (stay here for the 3 days) then return Beijing - Shanghai - Osaka.
Is Shanghai considered another region in which I will be able to use the 72 hour transit or should I stop over in Macau/ Hong Kong instead?

Kari, Shanghai is a part of mainland China, so it is not considered as another region. If you want to use the free transit policy, You should fly from Beijing to Macau or Hong Kong rather than Shanghai.
