About:China Visa-free Policy

How many times can you apply for and enter China on a transit visa?

I was wondering how the border authority would view multiple entries into China on a 240hour transit visa over a relatively short space of time. Say if you applied for one every three months, making 4 over a year. As far as I can tell it is technically within the rules, but wasn't sure how positively it would be viewed. On a related note, if you travelled from your home country to China on a transit visa, and then onto a third country - could you then go back into China on a transit visa and then onto your home country? Would there be an expected time that should be spent in the third country?

There is no limit on the interval or frequency of 240h transit application. You can even go to the third country and then plan another international transit route on the second day to get a new 240.
And of course you can go back to China from a third country then onto your home country to apply for the 240. No expected time should be spent in the third country.

Hi, I'd like to confirm if the following is allowed for the 240hrs visa free itinerary:

Canada - China (spending 240hrs in Beijing) - Hongkong - China (spending 240hrs in GuangZhou) - Australia - Canada
