it is said we can apply for a visa available for 10-year period. how does it works?

Does that mean we can get entry into China at any time we want during this 10-year valid period ? Every time I want go, Do I need go to Chinese consul in advance for some kind of entry document or just directly go to China without doing anything ? Pleas tell me some detail. Thank you.

Dear, it allows you to enter multiple times within 10 years. With it, you don’t need to do anything in advance of your trip. You can just enter PRC directly at any time.Please note that your passport must have a validity of at least 10 years if you want to apply for it.
