About:Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

Can I hike on Jade Dragon Snow Mountain?

Is 1 day enough to travel from Lijiang Ancient Town to the mountain then hike up and come back?

Do I need to stay at there? Is it possible to hike up or do I need to take a cable car up? Is it suitable for visiting from 28th December 2015?

Yes, you can hike the mountain. A whole day is enough for hiking from/to the ancient town. As the traits on the mountain are dangerous, so you should prepare a lot. However, it is really risky. It is more recommended to take cable car onto the mountain for sightseeing, which is also the way that most tourists would choose.

Pesonally, the natural scenery is the most intoxicating in late December, but it is cold. So, keep warm and bring enough food and water. Have fun!
