About:Gubeikou Great Wall

Gubeikou to Jinshanling hike

Hello!
first of all congratulations for your work done within this website, it is helping a lot while planning our trip.

Here is my question :)
We are planning to hike from Gubeikou to Jinshanling (one way only). I read it is a trail around 5 hours (11km). If we arrive Gubeikou by train at 9:23 from Beijing, do you think it is feasible to be back to Gubeikou before 17:20 when the last train is bounded to Beijing? It is easy to go back from Jinshanling to Gubeikou by taxi and how much it should cost?Or any local transportation to reach the train back to Beijing?

It usually takes 6-7 hours for a single trip from Gubeikou to Jinshanling so your planning route is feasible. And you can find a taxi from Jinshanling to Gubeikou and it may take CNY50.
