About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

In case I fly to Shanghai from Japan and return to japan in 72 hrs can I get 72 hr visa?

Hello, Eric, according to what you said above, you are not eligible for the 72 hour policy because you fly back to Japan after the transit in Shanghai, while you are supposed to fly to a third country or region.
