Access to Jiuzhaigou from Gansu

I'm going to be travelling from Xi'an to Chengdu on train, on the way I want to stop off at JZG, and I wondered whether it would be easier to take a train to Gansu province and drop down, I don't fancy the long coach ride there and back from Chengdu. Thanks

First of all, I'd tell you there is no train station at JZG yet, so no train leads there. If dropping by JZG on the way from Xian to Chengdu, you can fly to Jiuhuang Airport and head to the valley in 1.5h considering that you don't like long distance coach. After visiting, you have a way directly to Gansu Province. I assume your destination is its capital city - Lanzhou. At the Tourist Bus Station near the valley enrance, only one bus is scheduled to Lanzhou at 07:00 daily. It costs CNY240 and takes 9-10 hours.
