About:Haikou Meilan Airport

Can international transit visitor in Terminal 2 access Fortune Wings lounge Terminal 2, 4th floor?

I am travelling with Hainan Airlines from Auckland – Haikou – Bangkok and transit 12hours at Haikou.

My concern is although I have Priority Pass membership that allow me into Fortune Wings lounge, it says lounge is in Terminal 2 AIRSIDE DOMESTIC DEPARTURES 4th Floor --- but I will be in international transit in Terminal 2 and don’t have any domestic flight.

Do you know if I can physically get to the Fortune Wings lounge during my 12-hour international transit?

Yes, you can. You can get a 24hr temporary entry permit at the border counter to leave the restricted area and go to the lounge. Remember to inform the immigration staff that you are going to the lounge in T2.

Are you sure? Even if I get 24hr temporary permit and exit to landside of T2 airport, am I allowed to go to airside of domestic T2 to get to where lounge is - I assume I would have to go through some sort of security check to get to domestic airside (even though I don’t have domestic flight ticket) and security would then also have to let me get back out from domestic airside to landslide so I can then go through immigration again to get to international airside to catch my onward flight?

I think you cannot enter the airside area if you don't have a flight ticket.
