About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

can I travel to the Embassy in Washington DC to apply for my visa?

I live in GA and know that my consular office for applying for is in Houston.

Sorry, you can't. You are only allowed to submit your application to the consulate that has jurisdiction over your city.
