About:Top 8 Reasons Why Your China Visa Gets Rejected

i will be in hong kong in january and want to go to guangzhou for 2- 3 days

is it possible to do this without a visa. i am from canada:

jan 21 enter hong kong from another country in asia
jan 22 go to guangzhou
jan 24 return to hong kong
jan 25 leave hongkong to travel to canada or usa.

i suppose that would not be transmitting, as i am not travelling from guangzhou to canada direct. i am going back to hong kong each time

thank you!

Giovanna, you are right, you are not transting in Guangzhou. Therefore, you cannot enjoy the 72-hour free transit policy. In this case, you need to apply for an entry permit prior to your trip. Alternatively, you can fly direct from Guangzhou to Canada or USA to make youself eligible for the free transit policy.
