i will be in hong kong in januarywant to go to guangzhou for 2- 3 days

is it possible to do this without a visa. i am from canada:jan 21 enter hong kong from another country in asiajan 22 go to guangzhoujan 24 return to hong kongjan 25 leave hongkong to travel to canada or usa.i suppose that would not be transmitting, as i am not travelling from guangzhou to canada direct. i am going back to hong kong each timethank you!

Giovanna, you are right, you are not transting in Guangzhou. Therefore, you cannot enjoy the 72-hour free transit policy. In this case, you need to apply for an entry permit prior to your trip. Alternatively, you can fly direct from Guangzhou to Canada or USA to make youself eligible for the free transit policy.
