About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying to New Zealand - 2 transits in China, URC & CAN. Do we need 72 hour transit visas?

We are flying from IST (Turkey) - URC (PRC), then URC - CAN (PRC), then CAN - AKL (Auckland, NZ). Neither stopping time exceeds the 72 hours.

Do we need a transit permit?

Dear, as you stop in more than one Chinese city, you can't enjoy the 72-hour free transit policy. If the layover time in the two cities adds up to not more than 24 hours, you still don't need the transit permit because you are eligible for the 24-hour direct transit in that case. However, if the layover time is longer than 24 hours, you need to get a transit G type in advance.
