About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Australian working in Japan and wanting to visit PRC for the weekend

I am an Australian citizen, currently working and living in Tokyo. I want to take a short weekend trip to Beijing with my Japanese friends in February, but it will be their names on the hotel reservations since they're organising the trip. We have friends who are Beijing residents, so can I just ask them to write me an invitation since my name won't be on the hotel reservation itinerary?

Also can I just go directly to the Embassy in Minato and apply with all my documents?

Dear, if you can get the invitation letter, you don’t need to provide the hotel reservations. You may try to apply for it from Minato, but you are advised to apply for it through a travel agency.

Hi Kayla, May I know about your application by yourself to RPC embassy? It is easy to go by self or through agency? If so what did you prefer to me? because I'm a foreign passport holder and live in Yokohama and planning to go RPC in February.
