how should i apply visa to south korea from hunan (loudi)?

I am a PRC. I will be going to Singapore to visit a friend soon and the application has been approved. However, we have also booked a holiday trip to South Korea and will be flying off from Singapore. I need to know where can I apply the entry permit in Hunan (Loudi) to South Korea. I was told that I may need to go Beijing or Shanghai Embassy to apply it. The traveling time and distance are too long and far. Is there a much easier way?
