About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Transiting in Shanghai and Singapore

Hello,

I would like to go on a trip Canada-Shanghai-Singapore-Malaysia-Canada. I am planning to stay for 72 hours in Shanghai without a visa, and then for 96 hours in Singapore without an entry permit under a similar policy. Is it okay for me to benefit from the free transfer if I have ongoing tickets to Singapore and Malaysia, but do not have a Singapore entry permit?

Regards,
Olga

Dear, it may be okay for you to use the 72 hour free transit. But you are advised to contact with the airlines to confirm that whether you can board the plane or not. Just in case.
