Hari, the first step is to prepare all necessary documents, including a copy of your passport, an application form, a copy of round-trip tickets and hotel reservations, a recent full-face color photo, a travel itinerary and a financial standing proof.

The minimum amount of money in your bank account is not required, but of course the more, the better. The money should at least cover your expense for the 7-day trip.

Generally speaking, it takes four to six weeks to apply. The expired date will be shown on the paper, which is perhaps three months after the date of issue.

Yeah, it’s okay to use the Malaysia local bank account. It's possible for you to get it even though you don’t have a sponsor in HK.
