Leaving mainland China and reentering with less than 6 month visa/passport validity

I am flying to Hong Kong with a passport that expires on the 3rd of March 2016. I have a work Z type (multiple entry for PRC). Is it ok for me to leave mainland and reenter even though I have a passport and Z type that will be valid for less than six months when I reenter? I will be reentering mainland on the 2nd December 2015.
