About:China Visa Application in USA

Is there a way to get the visa-free transit visa (10 day) prior to leaving to China?

I’m a us citizen. I don’t want to risk being denied entry if for some reason they don’t like the paperwork I provide. I will only be in China for about 4 days before heading on to a third country in Europe. My US passport doesn’t expire until 2027. Is there a way to make sure I will be granted the 10 day stay prior to departing to China? If I can’t be guaranteed it, I may just apply for a tourist visa to be safe…Thank you

Sorry that you can only apply for the visa-free transit upon arrival at the port. Don't worry, it's easy to get with a leaving flight ticket and hotel reservation. I even hear that someone purchasing the leaving ticket upon arrival at the airport while applying for the transit and the immigration just let him enter. In short, the success rate is very high for US passport holders.
