About:China Visa Exemption

Hi I have New Zealand Residency and I plan to come china for business purpose.

I applied business visa but do I need to apply for my son also? he is 7 years old.

Yes, you need to apply one for your son as well. You can simply apply a tourist L type for him. If he doesn't have a passport, you may add his information onto your passport as an accompanying person but you need to pay the fees for two applications.
