About:Guangzhou Transportation

A family of four - spend a day in Guangzhou

My family and I (Two adults and two kids) have a fourteen hour layoff at the airport. We arrive early at 6:30 am and depart at around 8:00 in the evening. We would like to see a couple of places and enjoy Cantonese food. What are the best option for us. Also let us know the city bus route for the places.

1. According to the limited time, your suggested sightseeing route is the following: Yuexiu Park - Ancestral Temple of the Chen Family - Haizhu Plaza. You can find many local restaurants at Haizhu Plaza. Most of them have nice dishes and acceptable prices. You can just choose one when you arriving at there.
2. About the transportation,
a. Airport to Yuexiu Park: Take airport shuttle bus line 1, get off at Main Railway Station. Then walk southeast around 630 yards (550 meters).
b. Yuexiu Park to Chen Family: Take Tourist Bus Line 1 at Sanyuangong Station and go to the destination directly.
c. Chen Family to Haizhu Plaza: Take a taxi directly. The cab fare is about CNY 13.
d. Haizhu Plaza to Airport: Take Take airport shuttle bus line 5 directly.
