do i need a visa to go to sanya, china to attend the miss world pageant?

I am a USA citizen, flying from USA to Philippines then fly to Sanya, China with the Miss World Philippines entourage special package for the competition of Miss World on December 19th.  If I do need one, where is the nearest place to get a VISA in the San Francisco area.  How long will it take to get to Sanya?Thank you!

Yes, you should apply one from Chinese consulate in San Francisco. It's located at 1450 Laguna Street @ Geary Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94115.  It takes around 4 working days to deal with your application.
