About:China Student Visa

Staying in China after leaving course early

I am in China on an X2 visa which doesn't expire until February, my course includes an internship and for personal reasons I've had to finish the course early. The company I'm with have said I can stay for up to 14 days after my last day at my placement, which was 3 days ago. I'm confused is this a requirement of the entry permit or just the company? I'd really like to stay for longer than just two weeks if possible, will I need to get a tourist type and can I get one if I'm still here?

If your X2 is still valid, I think you can continue to stay before it expires.
