travelling from india to tajikistan via beijing & urumqi

Good morning, my intended travel itinerary is Mumbai-Beijing-Urumqi-Dushanbe and backwards for the return journey. The total transit time within China will be 17 hours each time. A few doubts:1. Should I apply for a single entry transit visa or a multiple entry transit one? 2. Does the transit type even have a multiple entry option?Thanks!

Hi Suhas!1. You don't need to apply for the transit permit actually because you are qualified for the 24-hour direct transfer policy.2. For all I know, there is a multiple entry option for the transit type entry permit.
