Do I need a visa for a trip to China from Hong Kong?

Hi,

I am looking to do a day trip to Changping. 1hr by train from Kowloon, Hong Kong.

What is the best way to get an entry permit for this? Are they issued at the train station?

Nathan, you need an entry permit for this trip. I advise you apply for it from HK as it seems hard to get the VOA at Dongguan.
