As I know, it is a famous Taoist Mountain, and the most famous temple is Sanqing Temple. Do you refer to that one? If yes, you may take a high speed train to Yushan from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. The train is available from 7:23 to 18:31, and the duration is about 2.5 hours. The business class seat costs CNY 664.5; the first-class seat costs CNY 354.5; the second-class seat costs CNY 214.
Then, take a taxi to Yushan Bus Station, and transfer to a bus to Sanqing Mountain East Station for about CNY 16. Or, you may directly take a taxi to the mountain east station for around CNY 150-200. Upon arrival, you may take a motor bike to Yuling Taoist Temple for about CNY20. Then, hike up to the Sanqing Temple for about 3 miles (5km). I am afraid that you cannot get a bus directly up to the temple.
