About:China Visa

Hi, I am an Australia resident with Chinese passport. do I need a Hongkong visa for a short visit?

After visiting HK, where will you go? If you plan to get back to Australia, then you should apply for the entry permit from Chinese embassy in Australia.

However, if you have onward air ticket from HK to mainland, then you needn't apply for the entry permit. With the air ticket, you can stay for 7 days there.
