About:China Visa

Is a DUI considered a criminal offense in mainland China? or Hong Kong?

My client will be traveling with her companion. However, she had a DUI in New jersey years ago

The application asks if you have a criminal record - does a DUI qualify?

Like 10+ years ago he had a problem at the airport in Halifax, Nova Scotia ( a DUI is considered a Felony there
After much ado they stamped his passport for the exact # of days of his tour AND charged him $350. besides
He has not been in Canada/ that area since

Please someone answer as I don't know who else to ask

Elaine, I personally suggest she just checks No for Criminal record section. Many foreigners did this and finally got their Chiense visas successfully. To answer your question, Dui is a criminal record.
