About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can you tell me if a previous overstaying may result in denial of a 72 h visa in Beijing Airport?

I am a Brazilian passport holder and, due a misunderstanding, I have overstayed in China for 19 days, during Oct-2015. Now I am planning to fly from Tokyo (or Macau) to Beijing and then to Hong Kong, on the same day (12-Feb-2016).
May such overstaying be a problem by the time I apply for the 72 h free transit in Beijing Airport? What about the 24 h free transit?
Thank you very much!
Pedro

Pedro, I think there is a risk that you may be denied to use the free transit policy at the airport, but the possibility is not very big. You can cotact the Immigration Office in Beijing airport to get an exact answer. Tel.: 0086-10-56095400
